Emily and Brandon’s autumnal wedding at Okay Island in CT—a rodeo horse farm turned creative compound—was rainy day-romantic. We’re so here for a dreamy fall mood, and their woodsy wedding delivered!
For their wedding, Emily and Brandon wanted to bring the outside in. Inspired by East Coast fall (always a fan favorite) we wove in lots of golden fall foliage, heather-green grasses, and cosmos straight from Sweet Talk Floral Founder Lorinda’s garden. Anemone dahlias in orange, pink, and peach infused the cozy venue with a warm glow, and strings of dates, persimmon, and amaranthus made the white walls pop. We also did a lot of over-the-top standing and hanging floral arrangements because (1) if it’s over-the-top, we’re there; and (2) we love a floral look that feels like it grew straight from the ground up.
One of the things that we love about florals is that even if it rains on your wedding day—which is good luck, guys, so don’t stress!—you can still make the venue feel full of life. From bouquets bursting with milkweed balls to centerpieces studded with juicy persimmons, Emily and Brandon’s intimate autumnal wedding was a total *magical* walk in the woods. 10/10 would do it again.
