For Margaret and Elijah’s wedding at Wadsworth Mansion in Middletown, CT, we went all out on whimsical and eclectic florals. Inspired by the bridal party palette, we dreamed up statement arrangements (you know Sweet Talk loves a statement) in shades of raspberry sorbet, baby blue, lilac, lemon, and sage. One of our favorite snapshots from the big day is of the bridesmaid beauties twirling their parasols in the garden. Iconic.
With this eclectic wedding, we turned to unique and interesting blooms to create textured florals. Think: gladiator alliums, Dutch-grown hydrangeas, lime green bells of Ireland, electric pink phalaenopsis orchids, and hanging amaranthus. It was romantic, decadent (gotta match the mansion mood!) and fun. Our floral arrangements are always a collaboration with the couple: we want to know what flowers make YOU feel good! But we always design with the venue in mind, too. So for this celebration, we put together juicy, fruity florals that infused the stately space with extra shimmer.
From centerpieces bursting with flowers and fruit to the bridal bouquet brimming with peachy pink blooms, Margaret and Elijah’s wedding was pastel-powered fun with a punk rock twist. Calling in more whimsical and eclectic weddings like this!
