Fashion, art, and music are a big source of inspo for the Sweet Talk Floral team. (Our Founder Lorinda worked in fashion for 10 years before making the switch to florals.) That’s why we were stoked to collaborate with the super-stylish Nicole and her beau Brian on their timeless and ethereal wedding at Aldrich Mansion in Warwick, RI.
For this wedding, the bride wanted an old world European vibe with a modern touch. So with romantic modern chic as our cue, we went for babies’ breath, phalaenopsis orchids, and speciality Dutch-grown Westminster Abbey Roses in the most sublime pearl gray. The bride collected all of her own vintage candles, statues, and figurines for the tablescape. A totally iconic move, it gave us a lot of cool and unique material to weave into our ethereal arrangements.
If you know Sweet Talk, you know we do a lot of color. But even though this wedding was more of a monochrome vibe (which, FYI, we are so here for) we had a lot of fun working with blooms in shades of cream, white, and gray.
Inspired by the mansion mood, we went for decadent garlands and statement arrangements. It was ethereal (um, hello candlelight) and timeless. And white flowers for your wedding? Always in! The takeaway: Sweet Talk is down to play with flowers in a mansion any day.
